Plain terms for a product that holds nothing of yours.
By using Elur you agree to these terms. We wrote them to be read.
01What Elur is
Elur is software for governed, revocable access to encrypted documents. It is non-custodial: encryption happens on your device, your files travel on public infrastructure (Walrus), and access is enforced by a public gate (Sui + Seal). Elur never possesses your files or your keys. We provide the software and, on some plans, sponsor your network transactions.
02Preview status
Elur currently runs on test networks. It is offered for evaluation, not for production secrets. Test networks can reset, and testnet data may be lost. We will say clearly when that changes.
03Your keys, your responsibility
Your recovery phrase is the only way to restore your access. We do not have it, cannot reset it, and cannot recover documents for you if you lose it. Write it down and keep it safe. This is the price of a provider that cannot read your files, and it is not negotiable by design.
04The ledger is permanent
Grants, revocations, and opens are recorded on a public blockchain. These records are pseudonymous, permanent, and cannot be edited or deleted — by you, by your counterparties, or by us. Do not use Elur if you require erasable access records.
05What revocation does — and doesn't
Revoking access prevents every future open, immediately and everywhere. It cannot reach copies, screenshots, or knowledge already extracted while access was valid. Retaining or using content after revocation may constitute misappropriation, and the ledger provides evidence of the access lease — but enforcement against bad actors is a matter of law, not software.
06Acceptable use
Don't use Elur to store, share, or govern access to unlawful content, or to violate others' rights. We cannot see your files and will not police them; this clause exists because the law applies to you regardless of our blindness.
07Sponsored transactions
Where we sponsor network fees, we may meter or limit that sponsorship by plan. If sponsorship is unavailable or your plan lapses, you can always continue by paying network fees yourself — losing our conveniences never locks your property. Your documents and keys are yours regardless of any plan, payment, or the existence of Elur.
08No warranty, limited liability
Elur is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. We are not liable for losses caused by lost keys, public networks, counterparties, or content you chose to share.
09Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced before they apply. Governing law and venue: to be fixed on commercial launch [under legal review]. Questions: use the request-access link on the home page.
